Fudgy Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional, for extra gooeyness)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  1. Melt Butter:
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or in a saucepan over low heat.
  1. Mix Sugar and Eggs:
  • Remove the melted butter from heat and stir in the granulated sugar.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until well combined.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  1. Add Dry Ingredients:
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
